Bionicle MOC - Molten Rahkshi by Alex-Darkrai Bionicle MOC - Molten Rahkshi by Alex-Darkrai
Throw some Rahkshi into a vulcan and this is what may come out :P

This MOC is nothing special, but I really wanted to use a color scheme with those dark red/ orange flame pieces once.
I really like the idea for the torso I had to imitate the Rahkshi body.
Thought I will probably take him apart again, I will need his pieces soon, I think.

This looks like it was posted quite a while ago. Have you taken it apart? If you have :( , if you haven't would you sell it? Or at least we can talk about a tutorial or at least a list of pieces? I mean, Rahkshi really were the greatest bionicles (other than the bohrok lol) and I need to make a blue or (more likely, due to the pieces I already have) a white version.

If you could sell it, we could negotiate prices on your terms, and if not I reeeeaaaaaally hope you could write a list or post/email a set of pics where you build it, w/ worded instructions. You seem to know your english quite well so language barriers shouldn't be a problem. Write and take pics of what you can and I should be able to work out the rest.

He fell from my shelf and is now half-way taken apart xD

But the important part; the torso is still complete and some parts of the limbs. I could recreate him.

I'd sell him as well, I don't really have need for his parts anymore and it would be cool to sell one of my models for the first time :)

Please, could you give me an idea of how much you'd be willing to pay? Normally I'd try to create a list of the parts I used and look how much they're worth to get the base value of the MOC (so the money I'd get for just selling the parts), then I'd add a little percentage for the work I've done to create the model.

Another problem would be the shipping costs; from Germany to Australia; one travel around the world, I've no idea how much that would be xD

If you're still seriously interested in buying the molten rahkshi after reading this; I'd be willing to do the work to find out the price, otherwise it'd be just a whole lot of work for nothing. But please consider it; I'd really love to sell a MOC for my first time x3

Absolutely. I know that it'll cost about $10-$15 AUD to ship to/from Germany to Oz, so that'd be in the cost. I expect the pieces (I don't know all of them lol but...) to come to around $80-$120 AUD, then I would be willing to spend an extra $35-45 AUD on the labour element.

At $125-$180 AUD for the entire model, could we work something out? I'd also be willing to pay extra (say bump it to $200 AUD for the lot) if you could send the model along with some instructions on how to make it (in case my bro pulls it apart or breaks it apart, he's not like that but I have to make sure) if that's a possibility.

I'm not so sure of the AUD - Germany Dollars rate, but I'm sure you can look it up or something.

That does sound quite realistic ^^
Sorry, I had to ask; a lot of people don't really have a realistic idea of how much such a figure is worth, just the parts value is a lot alone.
By the way; Germany is in Europe, so we use the Euro as our money.
According to this site www.finanzen.net/waehrungsrech… 35 AUD would be 23,84 Euro for example. :)
I think the price you estimated is still a bit high (wrong way to be a seller, but whatsoever), but it's nice to know that you have an idea about the price.
This weekend, I'm gonna go back to my home and thus my MOCs (I'm studying in another city). There I'm gonna recreate the MOC and find out about which parts it uses and then try to find out about their value through bricklink.
Then I can give you the exact price ^^

Sounds good. The prices I gave you were an estimate based on what I know and am willing to spend. I wasn't necessarily going to spend $200 nor $180 AUD on a bionicle, but they were the maximum prices I were willing to offer. Once you've priced the bionicle for pieces, we'll work out a rounded total (including packaging and labour) and come up with a total. Haha coming from a guy who makes a lot of his disposable income on selling cards/ painting warhammer through clients and such online, and works as a retail manager, I will say that telling me I'm paying too much is crazy, but I respect that you're honest with me and if you wouldn't mind dropping the price to a number that's perfect for us both I would definitely appreciate it.

Also, I might be persuaded hit you up for more of your works in the future (wink, wink) if this all works out.

That does sound quite promissin. :)
So, would you want to have the exact same Molten Rahkshi as in the picture or would it be fine if I'd improve him a little bit? I was never satisfied with the legs, so that would be the only thing I'd work on.
In that case, I'd then post the new version of the Molten Rahkshi and mark it as (SOLD) within the title, I just would like to show that I was able to sell one of my figures, but if you have any objections to that, I'm also fine with leaving everything as it is.

I'm actually glad you said that. I didn't want to say it earlier, but I don't <3 the legs, either. I can live with the legs being the way they are, but what really hurts to look at is the feet. I just can't stand them. I'm really sorry, but I just don't like those feet, I just can't fathom a rahkshi with duck feet. Try and upgrade the rahkshi as you see fit, and post up the new model. I would love to see what you could do to this! Your work really is brilliant, but it is the feet that really shut down this model... I would love to see an improvement on that.

I saw the original modell for this, and I love how it started black and slowly progressed to a bursting and warm yellow. If you could implement that old colour scheme into this new model, that'd be brilliant.

At the end of the day, do what you do and wwe'll see what comes of it ^_^

Which original model are you talking about?
Yeah, I know that the feet are terrible xD I'm already working on it ^^
Sorry, I've noticed that I missing some parts so i'm gonna have to rebuy them, but changing the feet/legs are gonna take some time anyways, in case a little waiting is okay for you :)
