This MOC started off as a way to show off the new special colored nuva chest armor, which I got from bricklink. Further information can be found within the description of this deviation.

After some playing around with the parts, I came up with the idea of using the trans-neon green Miru, which I got from bricklink as well, some time ago.
Then the development of this MOC went further and further.
I wanted trans-neon green to be a main color of this MOC, but green as well, in order to present the Miru and the chest armor in the best possible way.
Slowly, I included more and more parts. I wanted to keep a usual Toa Mata structure, he even still has the functions of a normal Toa, but I also wanted to give him better shapes than the original Toa Mata. Using the basic look of the Toa Nuva armor helped greatly. Using the glatorian heads for the shoulders and the Av-Matoran heads for the lower legs helped the color scheme and the shapes and are kinda a symbol for the smaller sets of the bionicle world.
Using the Slizer foot on the lower body is a look back to the first day and the ancestors of the bionicle, while the use of Hero Factory armor on the arms and feet is a look to the future after bionicle.
Including parts like the half sphere for the back of the head and the parts his swords are made off, intends to show the various ways of using non-bionicle parts for Bionicle MOCing and still making it look bionicle-like. This is also supported by the single stud plate part within his chest armor, the core of lego; the stud.
Using tran-neon green as main color symbolises the transcendence between different generations of parts, showing that you can create MOCs with parts from any generation.
Lastly, I chose to give him the name (and look) of Lewa, because, even if Tahu was the leader, as set Lewa has been my first bionicle I ever had and I heard the same from many other guys who love bionicle as well.
For me, Lewa does mean more to me than Tahu ;)

I just really wanted a to create a MOC which shows my devotion to MOCing and my private history with it :)

i think i dreamed of this guy a night ago....well, something similar.
all the parts were see through like that.

the helmet was that, but with the slightly newer one mixed with it. it was like a helmet that slid over the face like a knights visor.

Fascinating xD
I only dreamed of something bionicle related once when I was still a kid; I found a big rubble with stones and Kanohi masks in a forest. I chose one of them in attempt to wear it and gain their powers ... then I woke up :(
