I have been thinking about it for the last few months!
I wasn't really able to produce anything new or anything I'm satisfied with. Even Yevrah was more of an experiment where I tried something new, but it wasn't the usual MOCing which I prefer to do.
Which is why I really thought about leaving back my parts and MOCs.
Until this weekend; I had originally planned to spend the evening with some friends and went home from university for that reason. Sadly it got too late and I wasn't able to meet up with my friends, so I stayed home with nothing to do for the first time in a while.
I grabbed some parts, as always, and tried a bit around. Nothing productive happened for awhile until I thought back to the the last series of MOCs which still had to be completed; the Star Series.
Last time, I tried to create the Kalmah themed Star, but I wasn't really successful and anything I created came out wrong, so I left it unfinished for the most time.
I really never had any idea how to probably start on the MOC; I wasn't able to connect the parts for the torso in the way I wanted, I wasn't able to make an authentic concept for the head design, and I wasn't able to achieve the design for the limbs which I desired, so was a little unwilling to start with him.
However, I suddenly felt the urge to try it again and dug out the bin with the black/dark-red gradient colored parts and started to work on the old problems again.
Guess what? I found solutions for all my old problem!
Got the head right, the torso, the shoulders and the lower legs! Now I have enough base constructions to finish the MOC the way I wanted!
I noticed that I was able to solve most of the problems, because of experience from prior newer MOCs. If I hadn't build those, I wouldn't have been able to create this new MOC!
This also gave me the renewed urge to keep on MOCing! It is still fun, as long as I have projects I wanna to and I'm still able to learn new techniques with every MOC.
I'm probably gonna finish the Kalmah themed Star next weekend, I'm really looking forward to that one
